Members scan their bar code or key fob/tag to gain entry. The system verifies membership and billing in live time, granting access only to those members who have valid memberships with up-to-date payments. RhinoFit makes a record of the event, viewable in dynamic reports and access tracking metrics. You’ll need an internet connection and electric outlet to connect the Door Access Control to RhinoFit.

Key Fobs, Key Tags, and Barcodes
Staff with access and paid members can use their credentials (key fob or barcode) to scan into your facility. Key fobs and barcodes have a unique ID associated with a user – they can be further customized with your gym’s logo. The unique credential allows the system to lookup the user’s access rights, including memberships and bills, to determine whether or not to grant access. Barcodes can also be made and stored inside the RhinoFit mobile app and website – in the event someone leaves their credentials at home, they can use their mobile phone to scan into the gym.
Scanning Into the Gym
Once at the gym, a member scans their key tag or the barcode at the door. This scan then triggers a member lookup in the RhinoFit software. The software first checks for a valid membership, then looks to see if it’s paid up to date. Once verified, the software sends a signal to open the door. Members with expired or lapsed memberships will be denied entry. Other settings can be configured for access granting and denial based on hours of operation, failed or overdue bills, as well as explicit grant and deny lists.
Door Access Control (DAC)
The RhinoFit Door Access Control is a pre-assembled unit. It’s been factory tested and arrives ready to install. It has a 12V 1A power supply that works with 12V door strikes and magnetic locks. The system can support some existing power supply hardware by being configured as a controlling relay. Therefore, pre-existing installations and hardware might be supported.
Barcode Scanner
RhinoFit provides a barcode scanner with the Door Access Control System. The scanner is responsible for reading the key tag or barcode. It is a USB device and plugs directly into a port on the Door Access Control.
Wiegand HID10301 Reader
RhinoFit provides a Wiegand HID10301 reader with the Door Access Control System. The reader is responsible for capturing unique credentials from provisioned RFID fobs. It uses 26-bit Wiegand wires that are directly connected to the Door Access Control.
Door Strike/Magnetic Lock*
The door strike or magnetic lock is responsible for keeping the door locked until a member scans their key tag. It is connected to the Door Access Control unit. It remains in the locked position until it receives a signal from the Door Access Control unit.
* Every gym’s door and local rules and regulations vary. Therefore, we do not include a door strike or magnetic lock, or mated hardware, with the Door Access Control system. Door strikes, maglocks, push bars, and other hardware accessories must be purchased separately.

Cameras gain a new sense of depth and understanding by segmenting and tracking people as they move on a 3D floor-plane grid that defines the areas inside and outside of each entrance.
Detect tailgating with AI-driven intelligence
Camio software counts the number of people that enter that gym and compares that to the information from your Door Access Control. Discrepancies generate email notifications, while also being made available in RhinoFit for viewing and analysis.
Recover costs and convert new members
Customizable emails are automatically sent to members who allow tailgaters, and RhinoFit can be configured to automatically charge fees. With video evidence, it’s easy to see which tailgating events are intentional. Collect guest fees automatically or use the event’s communication to incentivize converting the member’s friends into becoming paying members.
